Today more than a million Americans are fighting a daily battle with blood cancers and every 4 minutes another person unknowingly joins the fight. I have been given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the battle and help those living with blood cancers. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is having their inaugural “Student of the Year'' fundraising challenge, and I could not be more excited to be a team member for Team Pacers Pushing for a Cure and make a difference in the lives of patients across the country. I am proud to be a part of this campaign team and work towards our goal to raise $50,000 during the next 7 weeks - from February 4^th to March 26^th.  

Cancer has touched our family as it a has touched so many families. While it hasn’t been blood cancer, we have had multiple friends face a battle with breast cancer and as a hairdresser I have also seen the challenges, strength, and community that arises from a cancer diagnosis. When asked by Lily to be on her to team to help raise funds to fight cancer I was happy to join. While Lily is not personally fighting cancer, it has impacted her and her family. I admire and support her leadership in this cause, and I hope you will join me.
