Hi!

My name is Madisyn Bender. I am a junior at CK McClatchy High School. I will be participating in the 2021 Students of the Year Program with Team Change the Game. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) is dedicated to the fight against blood cancer. Since its founding in 1949, LLS has invested nearly $1.3 billion in cancer research. LLS has contributed to the increased survival rate of blood cancer patients. The Students of the Year Program inspires high school students to raise money for LLS. My team and I are anxious to get started, however, the donation period does not begin until February 4. Although I cannot accept any donations before that date, you can pledge to donate. The donation period will end on March 26. All donations are tax-deductible.

I wanted to get involved with Students of the Year to find a cure for blood cancer. I look forward to working with my team and getting out of my comfort zone. We've all been impacted by cancer in some shape or form, and we all have the power to make a difference. Even the smallest donation helps. Your donations go toward research, education, and providing support systems for patients. They will also go toward advocating at the state and federal levels for legislation to help those living with cancer. This is a cause I am passionate about, and I would greatly appreciate your support.
