Amanda's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Hello and thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
My name is Amanda Sheldon and I am a junior at Rio Americano High School. I have come across an exciting opportunity of being a part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's 2021 Students of the Year program. This program does not only help raise donations for the research of blood cancers and aiding of patients, it also gives high school students the chance to get involved with their community and advance their leadership and communication skills. Acknowledging how important this cause is, I am a proud member of Team Change the Game where I will dedicate my time and efforts to raising benevolent funds for LLS.
From February 4th to March 26th, my team and I will be working hard to reach our combined goal of $40,000. I am personally aiming to raise $2,500, which may sound ambitious, however with the help of potential donors like you, it is more than possible. This year, all of the donations that LLS is able to raise are in honor of Emma Geiselman who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2009. LLS was dedicated to fund her treatment to help her recover and she has now been in remission for 9 years. Every single day, over 150 people die from blood cancer in the United States. It is no doubt that cancer is a battle that no one wants to face, but LLS is by everyone's side and striving to find a cure.
You could be a part of making life changing actions by making a donation. It would be significantly appreciated if you joined us on our journey. Anything is accepted and cherished! Thank you for your consideration, from cancer patients, their families, LLS, and I.

What a wonderful cause, my beautiful niece, Amanda is participating in! I dedicate this donation to my father (Amanda's grandfather), Homer Allen Sheldon, who passed away before Amanda could meet him, but he was a very special person in my life and I miss him daily. He died from bone cancer. He would be so proud of you, Amanda, as we all are.
