Hello! My name is Anna Schmeh and I am joining the Students of the Year program with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). I am a part of Team Change the Game as we fundraise over the 7-week campaign period starting February 4th. Through this campaign we will be fundraising for the financial support of patients and the funding of more research. Our overall goal is to help make a difference in the lives of those suffering from blood cancers. I am really excited to embark on this journey in support of those affected by blood cancers.

Cancer does not spare. This year, it is expected that more than 175,000 people will be diagnosed with a blood cancer in the United States alone. This hits close to home for me because I have experienced losing a close friend to Leukemia. This gives me more drive to want to be apart of this campaign and support such an important cause. This year we are also motivated by our honored hero Emma who is currently a Freshman at Lincoln High School.

In donating to the campaign and supporting this cause it improves the amount of researching being done and impacts the lives of so many people living with blood cancers and battling everyday. In order to reach our goals for our impact, donations of those around us in the community are very important and greatly appreciated. All donations make a difference and are tax deductible. No matter what amount you are able to donate it would mean the world to me and so many people who are joining into this fight against cancer!
