Team Save the Strong is collaborating with CycleLife Sacramento to do a fundraising ride!! I encourage you to join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign.

My name is Ansley Riddell and this year, I have the honor of being a candidate in the Students of the Year (SOY) campaign. SOY is a philanthropic leadership development program for passionate high school students, such as my teammates and myself. During the 7-week campaign, students foster professional skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and project management in order to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

I chose to participate in the SOY campaign in order to help the great number of people who are affected by cancer. Recently, the husband of a close friend, Lou Stanfill, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. As well as being connected to him, my uncle has cancer and I would like fundraise in honor of both of them, as well as the large amount of people impacted by cancer.

My team, Team Save the Strong, has an ambitious goal of raising $15,000 over the 7-week period beginning February 4, 2021 and ending March 26, 2021. Every dollar we raise contributes to research for blood cancers such as Leukemia and Lymphoma, and .78 cents of every dollar goes directly to blood cancer research. Whether it is $1, $10, $100, $1,000, or any number in between, your contribution will benefit a large number of people in our local community and beyond. Your donation will be greatly appreciated by a number of cancer patients, survivors, and their families and friends who are also affected. LLS has funded more than 60% of blood cancer therapies to treat other cancers and continues to push for advancements in cancer research with your help. 

The money that we raise will help not only our local community, but people around the world. I would like, with your help, to contribute to the research that could find the cure for cancer.
