Hello and welcome to my fundraising page! I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you again for your time and consideration. LLS is something that I have become passionate about and I hope that I help inspire you to spread awareness as well. Whether you make a donation or not, I cannot possibly express how appreciative I am for your time.

      This year, I have been lucky enough to be a team member of Project: Hope, which is a part of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Students of the Year program. LLS is an organization which is dedicated to fighting blood cancers. LLS’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. As a team member of Project: Hope, it is my mission to raise funds and spread the word in order to fight against blood cancers. Our campaign begins on February 4 and ends on March 26. At first, I was recruited to join an organization that I did not know much about. As time passed on, I came to realize the real reason I joined LLS.

     I chose to participate in LLS because I want to make a positive impact on people’s lives, no matter how big or small. I want to use my privilege as a healthy human being to help those who are struggling. I wanted to be a part of LLS’s great mission in finding a cure as well as improving the lives of patients and their families. I want to dedicate my time and effort to helping others. It is my personal goal to fundraise $1,000 for LLS and it is my team’s goal to collectively fundraise $10,000. LLS has raised about $1.3 billion dollars for blood cancer research since 1949; however, their mission is not over. We need to continue to spread awareness and fundraise in order to find a cure for these patients. 

     I am writing this letter to ask you to support my mission to raise awareness and money for finding this vital cure. I ask that you continue to spread the word about this mission on any platform that you may have, whether that’s on social media or through work. My team has been working endlessly to find great ways to inform people of our mission. I would greatly appreciate it if you considered donating to this amazing cause, but anything will help. With a collective effort, including you, we can help fight blood cancer! .78 cents of every dollar will go to finding a cure! I truly appreciate your time and attention. It means the world to me.
