Hello I am Zayneb Bensalem, a sophomore at Granite Bay High School and a member of Team Zeena, benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society(LLS).

When I was asked to join the Students of the Year Campaign, I was excited to be supporting my friend Zeena (pictured above on the right). She was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in the summer of 2018 and overcame the disease in December of the same year. Being the strongest girl I know, she did not let all of the obstacles she faced determine her lifestyle. Due to organizations like this, she was able to come out stronger and better than ever. She is now attending high school with a GPA higher than a 4.0 and is a star player on the school's basketball team. I am doing this so that more people who have as mush potential as Zeena are given the oppurtunities she had to become a success story.

With your help, we can fight to bring awareness and find a cure to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens. We are competing in a seven week competition against other schools in an effort to collect the most money and be named the Students of the Year

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research but will help provide critical information and support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
