We are thrilled and proud to announce that we have been nominated to participate in the Students of the Year campaign for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)!

LLS is the largest nonprofit dedicated to ridding the world of blood cancer. The campaign is a national 7-week fundraising competition in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! Student Visionaries of the Year provides support, hope, and funds to battling patients, to overall improve their quality of life.

Through the SVOY Campaign, we have created a team of 15 team members of friends and family to aid us on this journey. As a team, our goal is to raise $25,000! This money is going directly towards LLS, in which it will provide the funds for our specific mission pillar, research, in terms of blood cancer. 

We were both inspired to join LLS in hope of making a positive lasting impact on the lives of others. Saying so, this campaign is in honor of Kayla’s Nana. She was fortunate enough to beat cancer, and she is an inspiration to Kayla in every aspect of her life. We are running this campaign in order to use our own resources and connections to help cancer patients such as her Nana, plus the many more struggling patients and their families. 

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
