Finley & Rowan Joseph | Team Twins for a Cure
Team's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
Dear Friends and Family,
We are honored to be nominated for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2023 Student Visionaries of the Year. Student candidates of this campaign compete to raise the most funds which go directly to blood cancer research, during a 7-week period starting January 12th and ending March 4th at the Students of the Year Gala. Along with 15 other candidate teams throughout Colorado, we accepted this challenge in efforts to spread awareness about cancer and the importance of blood cancer research throughout our community. Ultimately, we are raising money that will go towards research for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and create ground-breaking treatments or life- changing support to save future lives.
We are fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society because we have been touched by the loss of family, neighbors and friends, and we are greatly empowered by the survival of others. Cancer has touched everyone in someway or another. By raising money towards research we can find a cure and a potential end to cancer. We want to make a significant impact on the mission of LLS and by bringing our community together for this amazing cause, we can affect the eradication of cancer. We can’t do this alone and we are asking for your support!
Every three minutes, someone in the U.S is diagnosed with cancer. Since 2017, over $108 million dollars have been raised through the Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. These donations have helped to support LLS in advancing more than 85% of blood cancer treatments approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) since 2017. With your support and donation, we can end cancer once and for all!
