Bella's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Hello Friends and Family! Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page!
I am beyond grateful and honored to announce that I am a Co-candidate along with my dear friends Olivia Gilchrist and Karah Post for the 2021 Students of the Year Campaign with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Starting January 7th, for the following seven weeks, ending February 27th, my team and I will compete against other candidate teams in the Rocky Mountains as well as nationally to raise the most money possible in the fight against blood cancers. At the end of the seven-week period, there will be a virtual, grand finale event to announce the total amount of money fundraised as well as the team that raised the most money.
During this campaign, my team and I have formed a multigenerational and nation-wide team by gathering our friends and family to raise money and awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. LLS supports research for cures, primarily blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, hodgkin's disease, and myeloma. LLS also supports patients and families with financial support to relieve the strains of medical costs and treatment. My team and I have accepted this challenge knowing that we will be able to support something much bigger than ourselves. We will be working diligently in the next two months to lead our team, raise money, and make an impact in support of our friends and family that have fought with conditions that are supported by LLS’ research. In addition to this, during the COVID-19 pandemic, LLS has created a new fund specifically meant to support patients and their families already struggling with a blood cancer who are now having to fight the pandemic in addition to cancer. This fund is just one more reason that it is so important to support LLS right now.
When my lifelong friend, Karah Post (Left) asked our friend, Olivia Gilchrist (Middle) and myself to join her in this campaign, I knew that we had been offered an incredible opportunity to serve the lives of people in need. With a grateful attitude, this opportunity is an excellent way to honor and fight for those who were not only already struggling to fight for their lives, but who are now facing a pandemic on top of it.
One very important fact about LLS is that 40% of the cures that are funded by LLS go on to fight other cancers, diabetes, Alzheimer's, parkinsons, and other medical conditions. Due to this, unfortunately almost everyone can find a connection to LLS’ mission. For me personally, my connection is through multiple family members who are cancer survivors, dear friends who are living with type 1 diabetes, and two grandfathers who battled parkinsons, another condition that is positively impacted by LLS. In addition to my personal connections to LLS’ mission, I wanted to be able to make a positive impact in people’s lives, an opportunity that is hard to find for highschoolers. We are all so grateful to be able to support a cause that is bigger than ourselves.
With all of this being said, I ask you to please join team "In For A Cure" in the fight to end blood cancer. Every dollar raised will go directly toward the mission of LLS and change the future narrative for many patients that fight for their lives everyday! There are so many ways to support the mission! To get more information, make a donation, become a corporate sponsor, buy an ad for the grand finale booklet, or donate an auction item, please contact me via email: Isabellamhclark@gmail.com. If you would prefer donating by check please make the check payable to LLS, write Isabella Clark in the memo line, and mail to 32581 Meadow Mountain Road Evergreen CO 80439. If your company has a matching program, please ask them to match your donation and also encourage friends and family to make a tax-deductible donation. Still need more info? Please visit the website lls.org for more!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS-funded research, but will help provide critical information, support for patients, and support advocacy for laws to ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this! We are so grateful for your support.
