Welcome to Team Cash For A Cause's SOY Fundraising Page!
We are incredibly honored and excited to be participating in the Student of the Year campaign for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). On January 9, 2020, we will kick off the 7 week campaign ending February 28th, to help save lives by funding research, treatments, support, patient advocacy and education for patients and their families.
Cancer is a tragic disease that is the second leading cause of death in the U.S. affecting the everyday lives of people worldwide. According to recent data, 38.4% of men or women will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their life and more than 50% of Americans have someone in their immediate family that suffers from cancer. Among these cancers, leukemia and lymphoma are especially prevalent. Every 3 minutes someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with blood cancer. Every 9 minutes someone dies from this disease. We all have the power to make a change, so let's change this. Let's change the lives of everyone involved with cancer.
By supporting LLS you are helping fund research to advance lifesaving treatments, provide patients and families with hope, guidance, education, and support. 40 years ago, a child diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia had a 4% chance of survival. Today children with the same diagnosis have a more than 90% chance of survival—this revolutionary research has not only helped Leukemia and Lymphoma, but is now being tested in clinical trials with other cancers! A cure is possible. LLS is closer to finding a cure than ever before!
It is amazing how so many people have a connection to the fight against blood cancer, and even other cancers and diseases LLS supports. Every single dollar counts, no contribution is too small! Thank you so much for your generous support. Don’t forget, your donation is providing life and hope.
With gratitude, Kenna Cashman, Jillian Kieran, Taylor Landow, Kylar Cronin and Meredith Garnsey
