UNPLUGGED CONCERT
This weekend, I had the chance to meet a little girl named Braedi and hear her story. This little bubbling ball of cuteness has been through hardship the likes of which I can't begin to understand, and all at once I well and truly realized why I'm doing what I am. I have decided that if I reach $50,000 I will allocate those funds to pediatric research to give kids like Braedi a better chance. Thank you to Braedi and her family from the bottom of my heart for allowing me the chance to spend time with you! Braedi, you are so incredible, and I wish you the best in all you do!
UNPLUGGED CONCERT
Welcome to Natalia Evans' SOY Fundraising Page!
“No doubt, unity is something to be desired, to be striven for, but it cannot be willed by mere declarations.”
(Theodore Bikel)
To whom it may concern,
My name is Natalia Evans, and I’ve lived my entire life with the will to improve the lives of others. Recently, I was given a golden opportunity to do just that. I have been nominated as a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Students of the Year Campaign. For seven weeks, students across the country will be raising funds and awareness for research, programs, and advocacy being conducted by LLS. When this chance was given to me, all I could think was how incredible it would be to finally do something that matters, something that would leave a lasting mark on countless lives.
Before I was born, my grandfather succumbed to a rare case of lupus, and died before I ever got the chance to meet him. In his memory, my team, Team changeASAP, will be working to raise a total of $50,000 for lifesaving medical research. LLS’s work is changing the lives of 1.3 million Americans living with a variety of blood cancers. In fact, the treatments that LLS funds benefit all cancer patients. More than 40% of the new cancer treatments approved by the FDA since 2004 started as blood cancer drugs and are now being applied in other forms of the disease. The change is happening now, and it would be my privilege and my honor to invite you to be a part of it.
I have faith in humanity. I believe in our love to do the impossible. But some challenges can’t be overcome by one person. Or even in a single lifetime. Sometimes, challenges have to be faced by a united, dedicated species. The time to act is now, we can’t wait until later. So please, any donation would be greatly appreciated. You have my gratitude, as well as the gratitude of every person who has either lost someone, or has been affected by an illness themselves. Thank you.
Do something extraordinary. Save a life. Be the change.
With love,
Natalia Evans
