Student Visionaries of the Year Palm Beach-Treasure Coast

Isabel Bongino | Team Hope 2.0

Isabel's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser

Sep 19, 2022

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!

For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org.

My dad had leukemia prior to dying from lung cancer. He had stopped smoking for about 25 years, yet still died of lung cancer. My heart goes out to every single person who has to fight us. I had cancer myself, so I totally understand. God bless all.

On December 22, 2021 I found out I had leukemia from a routine physical. I then got the flue, (Not covid) and I had to postpone getting my tests to find out what kind of leukemia I had. Six weeks later I took the tests and discovered I had Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia CLL This was a relief since this is not fatal to people in their 60's like me. If I ever get symptoms, fatigue and lose weight, I then take a pill and should survive. My doctor is not sure about survivor percentages rates since most of the people who have this are 80 or older. I'm donating what little I have today to those who were not as lucky as me. Thanks for the show, Mark Jennings Livonia, Michigan

  • J.R. McFadden

As a cancer survivor myself I can attest that it affects everyone harder than the person going through it. Dan, your emotional description of your experience is spot on! When I first got my diagnosis they gave me less than a 10% survival rate. After treatment at MD Anderson the give me a 80% or higher survival rate for 5 years. I sometimes go where you were about that 20% but keep on keeping on! Love your wife, kids, and family and friends just that much more!!! God Bless my friend!

Dan, I (and wife) feel a special bond with you. I have experienced Cancer twice:Lung in 2011 (cured) and Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL) 3 years ago. About the same time as you had yours. Mine was the back of my throat. I couldn't swallow or eat, lost 60 pounds in about 1 month and came very close to dying. (I don't recommend the "Lymphoma diet.") By God's Grace, a determined Loving Wife who cared for me,and superb medical folk I am still here today. I completed my last Chemo in February 2021. So far, still in remission. I was ready for my eternal home going, with my Savior, but it seems He has more for me down here. We appreciate your taking up the "mantle" for LLS research. And we are most glad you are here fighting the good fight for our America. God Bless you Brother, as a fellow Believer and Patriot, and God Bless our Nation. May we see a Revival and return to our Christian Heritage and to what made our Nation the greatest one one Earth. You are Our Hero.

When I heard Dan discuss this with his daughter on his show today, I was deeply moved by every word. At the time of the show, I was driving to my weekly chemo treatment appointment for Multiple Myeloma and Plasma Cell Leukemia. I look forward to a day when a cure is found for these blood cancers. God bless people like the Bongino's who raise awareness for LLS and the work they do. Bless all the families, friends, Doctors, Nurses and all who support our fight against cancer. They give us hope and confidence we can and will win this battle. David, Texas

I am a stage IV colon cancer survivor. I'll never forget my 52 straight hours of chemo, on site for 3 days and 2 nights with a pump every two weeks for what seemed months on end. I was extremely fortunate, but many of those receiving chemo with me were not so lucky. God bless you Dan, and your beautiful daughter, for making this REAL. Praying my donation will help in some small way. Ironically Felix was my beloved cat, and he succumbed to lymphoma at four years old. Animals are dying too. Fortunately he was just a pet, I can['t imagine parents losing their children to any type of cancer. May God bless all those fighting for their lives today..

My brother, Jim L. Fenwick passed away last year on February 17 from leukemia. After 16 years, his leukemia returned and he lost his second battle at age 69, so giving $69 for now. He wanted to live, as he had much to live for. It took him too soon, and we miss his positive energy and fun company immensely. A devoted Catholic & passionate football coach, he is at peace and and with loved ones in heaven. He's with me in spirit. Dan, as with my brother, you are risk of cancer returning, however, with efforts from loved ones to fund raise, I'm hopeful that advanced medicine will allow you many years of cancer-free good health. God bless you and family. By the way, Jim was half Italian too, our maternal grandparents came through Ellis Island.

My grandaughter Sophia was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on August 19 2022, 2 weeks before starting her first year of high school and is currently undersoing a 2-year treatment program at a leading children's hospital. Treatment for leukemia has improved greatly and survival is more achievable than ever, due to funding from generous donors. I am a long-time listener to the Bongino podcast - Dan, keep up the great work you do, and I pray for your continued health and safety. Thanks to Isabel for creating this very worthwhile fundraiser!

Dan and Isabel Bongino brought me here! We all love people! We love all people! All colors, creeds, races, sexes, religions, etc... and don't let anyone tell you different! If we all woke up medium-brown complexioned tomorrow morning, some people wouldn't know how to live their life, they'd no longer have 'jobs' dividing people, and they'd be politically lost. Don't be one of those people. Life's too short to care about anything other than what people are made up of inside. Love you all!

In memory of my beautiful wife Mariah who we lost to cancer in July, 2021. She was diagnosed January 14th, 2020 when she was 28 weeks pregnant with our youngest son. He was delivered at 30 weeks so Mariah could begin chemo and radiation treatments. She also spent a couple of weeks at MD Anderson late in 2020, so she may have been there when Dan was there. A big Thank You to Dan and Isabel for all that you do for this cause and for our Country. God Bless!

I appreciate all Dan does for America, and I also applaud him in his efforts to support other groups. My wife was recently diagnosed with ITP, however I had already donated last year for Dan (isn't that ironic?). I pray for your success in finding REAL treatments, not just lifetime meds. It's sad that big pharma believes they need to sell drugs to make money. they do not. If they would just heal, they would all be billionaires. God bless everyone fighting this fight.

I have listened to Dan Bongino for years and throughout his journey with cancer. His daughter, Isabel, decided to start this fund after her Fathers cancer treatment, reminding us that it not only affected him, but the entire family. It was very poignant. I was literally moved to tears as the pain of that journey still lingers with them all now. His daughter is a remarkable young lady, only in her first year of college. I lost my Mother to cancer and that pain never truly leaves. God bless them both and may her Father have a very long, healthy, happy life.

Dan, God bless you and your beautiful family. I lost my wife to GBM. On her birthday, at 57 years old, I found her having a seizure at our home. That was the beginning of the end. God teaches us to not hate, but I must confess, I hate cancer. I absolutely hate it. I am contributing because of you, your incredible daughter and all you do for this country. It's a very very small way for me to personally help with "I got your six" Keep up the good fight.

My donation is in honor of Dan whom I had the privileged to vote for twice in Maryland and became a devout listener to his podcasts from the beginning. As a Freemason it is my duty and honor to support worthy causes as of this.

    Good job Dan and Isobel

Dan, your daughter Isabel is a great salesperson,.... what type of heartless miscreant wouldn't want to donate after watching her video,... probably some Democrats who want to raise your taxes and take away your God given rights;^),... but I digress as I'm known to do,.... seriously, this is a cause that the left and the right support together,... cancer sucks for everybody!!

My dad was diagnosed with AML March of 2020. It was the start to the lockdowns. My mother had to kiss him good by as the shipped him off to another hospital after getting the news. It was very had for my family not being able to see him not knowing if we would ever see him again. After arriving to the other hospital, the Drs told us that they will do everything they can, but he is very sick. With the wonderful Drs he came home about a month later. My dad is one of the strongest guys I know. Today he is still fighting and not letting this get him down. After coming home, the treatment they had him on was good for about 18 months before relapsing. On the second type of treatment with some hiccup along the way but his holding his own. We thank God every day because I don't think he would be here if it wasn't for him. We take one day at a time. He feels good and keeps busy around the house(just wish he would work on his 1939 pickup that he started before getting diagnosed).

Glenda, your passing is still sad but the memory of who you were is an inspiration and comforting. I see traits of you in my daughter and that is very pleasing to me.

Keep it up Isabel. We wish we had more. My husband has been unemployed for about a yr and a half. But I heard your Dad and you the other day on his show. Seems to me it is a Blessing to be able to GIVE and help out others. We have STRONG FAITH in God. And we think you and your family are truly Faithful people. We WISH we could do more... but we PRAY our small donation can help. In God ALL is possible... God Bless

Lymphoma is one of the major cancers in dogs and is uniformly fatal. It is possible that human research will "trickle down" to veterinary medicine.

Godspeed Dan Bongino! Thank you Isabel, you go Girl!

My wife was just diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. I want to help you make a difference in people's life that have to suffer with the stigma of cancer and the families that are affected. Cancer is not just a person's personal journey, but a family affair. One day I know this disease will be treated as casually as the common cold as long as there are people willing to get involved to help in the fight for a cure. God bless you Isabel!
