I am honored to participate in the 2019 Students of the Year program, a seven-week competition in which selected high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). I am fighting to save the lives of victims of blood cancers. My team and I are competing in a race to raise the most money for the research behind cancers. The candidate team that raises the most money at the end of the 7 weeks is named a student of the year. Our mission is to raise so much money to kick cancer right out of its tracks. 

Since the early 1960s, five-year survival rates for many blood cancers have quadrupled due to new treatments. These new treatments are discovered through the help from organizations such as LLS or American Cancer Society. In fact, drugs first approved for blood cancers are now approved to treat patients with other forms of cancers and diseases. This proves there is hope!

All donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible. They will not only support LLS-funded research, but will also help provide critical information, support for patients, and ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need.
