Dear Family and Friends,
In Mid-December Chris and I were given the news that our niece- Alaina, a beautiful 16 year old 10th grader who plays rugby, and lives in Northern Virginia, was diagnosed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia). Devasting news, but since we (Chris and I) have been involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for the entire 30 years we have been married, know that the support and research for this disease has helped thousands of patients. We are optimistic of her diagnosis, but we are more compelled to help raise money so a cure can be found to help Alaina to be able to reach her dreams and for her family to continue to have this personable young lady in their lives.
This year's event, the Race to Anyplace, is celebrating the 20th anniversary, and i have decided to resurrect the infamous Women's Master Team, that was a perennial winner in this event. We have changed our name to honor Alaina, using her name Agent LayLay, a name she used as a child when she dreamed about being a secret agent. We are hoping you will join us and our team, " Agent LayLay Warrior Women" in this fight and give what you can to show Alaina that she has a warriors fighting for her. Please donate and please remember Alaina in your prayers. Thank you so very much for considering this.
