My heart was broken for my dear friends, who lost their beautiful niece in a tragic car accident in January. While taking comfort in knowing that Marleh is in the arms of Jesus, her very close and loving family has been devastated. To memorialize her short, but by all accounts very full life, her family has requested donations to LLS in lieu of flowers.

I am hoping this fundraising page will make it easy for people who have known and loved Marleh and her family to donate to LLS.

Marleh passed away unexpectedly when a car struck her vehicle on Monday, January 25 at the tender age of 20. Loving daughter of Mike and Margo (nee Kolberg) Lehmann. Beloved sister of Mady Lehmann. Cherished grand-daughter of Will and Jean Lehmann and Emil and Jill Kolberg. Adored niece of Annette Kolberg, Fred (Julie) Kolberg, Sue Kolberg, Carrie (Mike) Haessly, Bob (Kelly) Kolberg, Laura Kleinhans, and Kris Bertling. Also loved and will be missed by cousins, additional family members and many friends.

Marleh was entering her junior year at UW Whitewater and she was a graduate of Arrowhead High School. Marleh was a genuine friend that created and cultivated relationships that reflected her compassion and love for others. She had a kind spirit and a contagious, bright smile that will be missed by all that knew her. Marleh knew the love of her Lord and her glass was always half-full. Her never-ending hugs will be dearly missed, even though we know she is at peace with the Lord.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.

And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.

All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate - especially those who have known and loved Marleh and her family!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
