Welcome To My Fundraising Page.
I’m riding for my brave 7 year old daughter Layla. One night when she was 4 we were all packed up heading to swim class when my wife received a call. I continued to get the kids into the car and when my wife didn’t come out of the house I came back in to find her crying saying we need to go to the hospital right away. We made it home in time for Christmas that year after a month or so at Children’s Hospital receiving some intense treatments for Leukemia. We spent two and a half years back and forth to Children’s Hospital along her treatment plan and we were extremely excited for her to ring the bell signalling her last treatment in May 2018. For me the most amazing part of the entire process was the way the doctors looked at the cancer. The team of doctors were able to determine the difference between Layla’s Leukemia and the multiple other types, put a specific treatment plan in place based on her specific type of Leukemia and adjust her treatment based on how her body reacted during the two and half year treatment plan. It definitely wasn’t the easiest 2+ years but we are very thankful for organizations like the LLS that support families during these life changing events and are leading the way on blood cancer research that either cure or provide better outcomes for people just like my daughter Layla. That is why I’m riding.
Please join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. Thanks to your support, my efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.
LLS's continued advancements over the years, are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling; in some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.
And many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. They're even being tested in clinical trials for patients with a range of cancers including lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. LLS funded drugs are now being tested for patients with other non-cancerous diseases like Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
We really are changing the face of blood cancer!
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
