This year, the Columbia Falls Fire Department is proud to participate once again in the LLS Seattle Firefighter Stairclimb, now with a team of 8 dedicated firefighters. On March 9th, our team will race fire departments from all over the world up 69 flights of stairs—an ascent of 788 vertical feet—all while wearing full firefighting gear, adding 60lbs to our bodyweight. This is our third year in the competition, and with a large team, we’re committed to an ambitious fundraising goal of $5000.
We’re raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), a leader in blood cancer research and patient support. As firefighters, we’re at an elevated risk for cancer due to the conditions we face on the job, so it is our duty to be involved with cancer combatting efforts.
We invite you to support the Columbia Falls Fire Department by making a donation to our fundraising campaign and sharing our mission with others. Every contribution counts, and all donations are tax-deductible. Together, we’re showing up for our firefighting community and all those fighting cancer.
Thank you for helping us make a difference.
