Welcome to My Journey: Climbing for a Cure

Join me on a remarkable journey as I, along with some dedicated firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District, gear up for the 2025 Leukemia and Lymphoma Firefighter Stairclimb, scheduled for March 9, 2025.

You might already know about the incredible strength and resilience of my wife, Michelle, an 18-year survivor of Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. In her honor and support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), I'm embarking on the challenging feat of climbing 69 flights of stairs, fully suited up and on air.

Why I Need Your Support

Hello, and thank you for visiting my page! I'm excited to share this significant endeavor with you. Before I ascend the iconic Columbia Center in downtown Seattle, I'm on a mission to raise crucial funds throughout the season. These funds will not only help me achieve my personal fundraising goal but, more importantly, will contribute to the well-being of patients and their families battling blood cancers.

What is the LLS Firefighter Stairclimb?

The LLS Firefighter Stairclimb is a world-renowned, on-air stair climb competition. Held annually at the magnificent Columbia Center, it draws 2,000 participants, including career, volunteer, and retired firefighters. Dressed in full turnout gear weighing over 60 pounds, we take on the challenge of ascending the second tallest skyscraper west of the Mississippi, all while carrying the weighty mantle of our mission.

Every step we take symbolizes progress towards finding a cure for blood cancers. While this climb is physically demanding, it pales in comparison to the enduring spirit of those facing blood cancer. All funds raised directly benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and since its inception in 1991, this event has amassed over $22 million in support.
