Thanks for finding my fundraising page. This year, I am the Executive Sponsor of Big Climb, which means I have to raise A LOT OF MONEY! I ask you to help me reach my fundraising goal of $25,000, all of which goes to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Here are 4 reasons why this is important to me.

It’s personal. My dear friend Lily Gribble passed away weeks before her 16^th birthday from a rare and aggressive form of leukemia. No child should endure the pain she endured; no one should die so young; and no parent should have to bury a child.

I’m not past my leukemia journey – I know I have more chemo in my future. LLS is the largest funder of cutting edge research to advance cures, and I hope by the time I need it again there will be better options. LLS is making great strides in that direction.

LLS is the leading source of free blood cancer information, education and support for patients, survivors, families and healthcare professionals. This helps patients navigate their cancer treatment and ensures they have access to quality, affordable and coordinated care.

LLS advocates for policies at the state and federal level to remove barriers to care for cancer patients, to increase federal research funds, to speed the review and approval process of new therapies, and to ensure patients are able to access lifesaving treatments.
