Bald 4 Bucks 2019
I have personally been impacted by Bald 4 Bucks since 2015. My brother, an elementary schooler at the time, shaved his head in 2015 and 2016 for Bald 4 Bucks. Seeing my young brother have the courage to do something selfless in support of people battling cancer inspired me so much... I will always be very proud of him for this. When I got into high school, Bald 4 Bucks became a bigger part of my life. In 2017, I cut my hair over 11 inches at Bald 4 Bucks. In 2018, I had the chance to design the Bald 4 Bucks t-shirt. This upcoming year in 2019, I will be SHAVING MY HEAD!! That's right, hair: completely gone!!
This year, I have a goal of raising $2,000 for Bald 4 Bucks. This is a big number, and I cannot reach it on my own! If you would like to support me in shaving my head, please donate to Bald 4 Bucks or share my link! Donating is as simple as a click of a button and is available on my page! Every penny helps. Thank you so much.
What is Bald 4 Bucks?
Hello! My name is Courtney Thompson, and I am a junior at Rampart High School. Every year, my school raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at our biggest fundraiser of the year, Bald 4 Bucks. Bald 4 Bucks is an assembly where students, faculty, and community members raise money and shave their heads or cut their hair to support those battling cancer. It all began in 2008, when a teacher at Rampart was diagnosed with cancer. The Rampart community came together and held the first ever Bald 4 Bucks to provide funds for the teacher and her family to go on a special trip to Disney. Since then, Bald 4 Bucks has grown exponentially. Over the past 10 years, Rampart has raised over $350,000 for LLS, enough to fully fund 14 research grants. Last year alone, there were 425 participants, and we were able to reach our goal of $100,000. We have been ranked first in the nation for two years in a row for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Student Series program and even beat a NATIONAL RECORD. This year's Bald 4 Bucks assembly will be held on March 1, 2019. Our goal is to raise $100,000.
My Fundraising Page
Welcome To My Online Fundraising Page!
Heroes like Kennedy never fight cancer alone. Help me join Kennedy's Hero Squad by donating to my Pennies for Patients campaign. All proceeds benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), and are used for critical blood cancer research and advocacy.
Because of donors like YOU, there are more children and adults surviving every day.
There is still more work to be done! More than one-third of blood cancer patients still do not survive 5 years after their diagnosis.
Please help me reach my goal! When I raise money, I can earn Special Edition Hero Squad gear. For example, if I raise $50 online, I will earn a Hero Squad Tee and become a member of Kennedy's Squad. Please share my link with your friends and family who might also like to donate! All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax-deductible.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!

In honor of my dear friend, Jacque, who once donated to this cause when Courtney’s younger brother shaved his head. She lost her battle days after Bald4Bucks 2015. So proud of you, Courtney, for your courage and eagerness to shave your head. Jacque didn’t choose to lose her hair, but you have chosen. She would be so proud of you as well.

Bald is beautiful! I wish we didn’t need this event and there was already a cure, but so many treatments have been found thanks to fundraising efforts. And we have several survivors in the family! I’m proud of you. Go Courtney!!!
