I can’t believe how time has moved so quickly. It’s hard to believe that we are in the start of another year and that soon we will approach the 3rd anniversary of my dad passing. We continue to miss him every day, with so many things reminding us of him. My dad lost his brief battle in April 2016 to Mantle Cell Lymphoma, which is a very RARE and AGGRESSIVE form of Lymphoma that somehow latched on and attacked his liver, which isn’t the normal progression for this illness. Therefore, I have chosen to fundraise once again for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. An organization dedicated to treating and finding cures for a number of blood cancers and types of Lymphoma. Right now Mantle Cell Lymphoma is NOT curable. We need to find a cure so that families don’t have to go through what my family endured and continues to deal with following the traumatic loss of my dad. Words cannot express how our lives have been impacted by this profound loss.
Along with the challenge of the stairs in this event, I am challenging myself with my fundraising goal. In the past two years with the help of your generous donations, I have raised $9,494.46 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I am setting my goal for this year to be $5,505.54…which would bring my 3 yrs of fundraising total to $15,000! I hope you will consider helping me to reach this major milestone. Any donation amount is tremendously appreciated and will help make an impact.
