Welcome to The Rays of Hope Fundraising Page!
We started this team because The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is offering a brand new opportunity for kids to get involved in the fight against cancer. Incredibly kind and helpful staff members have introduced us to kids like us, except each of these kids had the bad luck to get diagnosed with cancer. They melted our hearts, making us smile and cry as they told their stories. They had no choice but to trade sports and birthday parties for chemotherapy and hospital visits, just to stay alive. Each was brave, and even grateful, as they told details about what they went through, and how LLS made a big difference. Instead of IVs and shots, LLS made sure that they could take a pill for their chemo. Instead of isolation, LLS linked them with other kids and families in a positive way, through parties and fun events. Thanks to LLS and other researchers, they are all in remission. We learned that doctors often refer families to the LLS website after a new diagnosis, because there are so many helping hands to make the difficult journey a lot easier. LLS provides comfort and quick assistance every day, not just to patients, but also to their entire families.
The truth is, each of us loves people who have been hit by cancer. A member of the Rays of Hope, Caroline, has a young cousin named Brent who is a happy and healthy survivor of leukemia. He is a huge source of inspiration for our team. We hope your connection to the disease will inspire you to contribute to our campaign. The money we raise will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to find a cure and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. We will work to increase awareness about the impact of cancer and the cutting edge treatments that are currently being researched, as well as to inspire others to join the fight to find a cure.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 from January 15th – February 28th. Any gift to our team will have an impact to our goal, and most importantly LLS’s goal. Thanks to your support, our efforts will help fund the therapies and treatments to help save lives. LLS's continued advancements over the years are responsible for the blood cancer survival rate doubling and tripling. In some cases, the survival rate has even quadrupled.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, we thank you for your support!
