LLS is a global leader in the fight against cancer. The mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world, provides free information and support services, and is the voice for all blood cancer patients seeking access to quality, affordable, coordinated care.
Since the onset of COVID-19 almost a year ago, LLS has continued to support patients and their families who need us now more than ever. In 2020 alone, LLS helped advance 14 of the 17 blood cancer treatment options approved by the FDA. Progress is being made despite the challenges of the past year.
The 34th Annual Leukemia Ball will take place virtually on June 26, 2021. As one of DC’s largest non-political black-tie fundraisers, the Leukemia Ball has raised over $65 million for the National Capital Area of LLS. We are committed to making it a fantastic virtual event that continues the legacy we have built and that will also raise important dollars for our mission.
