We are once again partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Hero Squad Program  to raise funds for blood cancer research and patient support services. Our school has partnered with LLS for over 15 years, surpassing the lifetime achievement mark of $25,000!

This year, we've set a goal of $1000
Help us get there by following the below steps-

1. Click Join Your Classroom Team on the right-hand side of this page, search your grade ("8th Grade") when prompted, and set up your own page to start earning Hero Gear.

2. Share your fundraising link and connect your page to a Facebook fundraiser (see video below) so that family and friends can join Tilden's Hero Squad!

Thanks to your support, LLS is able to launch endeavors The LLS Children's Initiative. This initiative seeks to accelerate treatments with fewer harmful side effects so that young patients like Andrew (below) not only survive, but thrive, for generations to come.

Meet Andrew, a 5th grader in Montgomery County. Thanks to treatments like those funded by The Children's Initiative, Andrew remains in remission--and has even become close friends with Governor Hogan!  They were going through their treatments at the same time and became "Chemo Pen Pals." Nowadays, Andrew passes the time riding his bike, playing video games, and watching the Orioles. He looks up to his sister, "Shadow Survivor" Julia, who was the DMV's top singular Hero Squad fundraiser last year!
