Our Scott's Ridge school community is coming together to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) in honor of Vince, one of our very own students. At the start of the new year, Vince, one of our 5th grade sailors, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), which is a type of blood cancer. Since the day of Vince's diagnosis, we have been humbled by his courage, perseverance, and positive attitude. He is truly an inspiration -- a hero. We are excited to get behind this fundraising campaign because every patient hero needs a hero squad!

A Special Message from our Hero, Vince:

LLS' Hero Squad Program is working with thousands of schools across the country to raise funds for blood cancer research and patient support services. Our school has partnered with LLS to take on the mission of ending cancer once and for all.

YOU can help our Squad make a huge impact in the fight against cancer by making a contribution to our fundraising efforts!

Thanks to your support, LLS is able to launch endeavors like The LLS Children's Initiative.

This initiative seeks to accelerate treatments with fewer harmful side effects so that young patients like Madelina (above) not only survive, but thrive, for generations to come.
