Welcome To My Fundraising Page
Riding in Honor of Julie, Friends and Family
Please help me raise $25,000 to support the incredible work of Blood Cancer United, formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I have committed to a 3-day bike ride in Greenville SC in October – the Velo Palmetto. This event will bring together driven volunteers who share a passion for cures and cycling with the ultimate goal of raising $1,000,000 for cancer research. Your donation will help fund the therapies and treatments that help save lives.

Cancer touches everyone, whether through a friend, a family member, or our own personal journey!
I am riding in honor of my sister-in-law and friend Julie Boyd Nicholson.

Julie is an incredibly tough and resilient woman! We can all learn from her strength and determination. She is in remission and agreed to share her story and her journey - visit our Team Page (link at top of this page) to learn more about her journey.
My commitment is more than just the miles; it is a commitment to the people in my life that have been touched by all types of cancer. I lost my sister, Anne Traynor Peterson to lung cancer 31 years ago and my sister-in-law, Tracy Boyd Loomis to a brain aneurysm due to brain cancer just before Christmas.
My good friend Deb Hincewicz is also battling cancer, here is her story...
Two weeks of symptoms. One life-changing diagnosis: non-Hodgkin's Mantle Cell Lymphoma.
As a lifelong caregiver, I never imagined becoming the patient. I was hiking, playing pickleball, golfing and living a full, active life - until cancer threw me a curvebeball.
Today, thanks to innovative treatments and the incredible team at Moffitt Cancer Center, I have real hope. New therapies are changing lives.
But the financial burden is real—travel expenses, insurance premiums, exorbitant medication costs. Many families need help just to stay in the fight.
I’m grateful for the research scientists, providers, support services, donors, family and friends who lift us up daily.
That’s why I’m proud to support Jenny’s ride for Blood Cancer United—helping patients focus on healing, not hardship.
Thank you for supporting hope.
