May Angels Lead You In...

In memory of my beautiful wife, Tracy Loomis I am asking for your support in raising funds for Blood Cancer United. Tracy fought her own battle with a brain tumor that was diagnosed 30+ years ago. She survived 3 brain surgeries and 7 straight weeks of radiation. Unfortunately, in December, she died from an aneurism which was a side effect of the radiation she received in 2011.
Why is Blood Cancer United so important to Tracy? In the years prior to her death, she devoted herself to caring for her sister, Julie, who after months of testing was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Julie is also a breast cancer survivor, making her journey even more challenging. Tracy was deeply passionate about supporting blood cancer research and the families affected by it.
As of March 2026, Julie remains in full molecular remission, and we are incredibly grateful. Your generosity helps make stories like hers possible.
At Tracy’s memorial in Grapevine, Texas, I asked friends on Facebook to honor her by donating to this important cause. Together, we raised nearly $2,500. Now, I hope to build on that generosity and turn it into something even greater.
I am setting a goal of raising $20,000 to support the life-saving work of Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society).
My sister-in-law, Jenny Boyd, has committed to riding in the Velo Palmetto, a three-day cycling event in Greenville, South Carolina this October. This inspiring event brings together dedicated riders with the shared mission of raising $1,000,000 for blood cancer research and patient support.
Your donation helps fund:
- Groundbreaking research
- Innovative therapies and treatments
- Patient services and advocacy
- Education and community support
Cancer touches all of us — through friends, family, or our own personal journeys.
Together, we can honor Tracy’s legacy and help move closer to a cure.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support.
Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible
