My father, Robert Miller, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in the summer of 2023. it was a terrifying 6 months of hospitalization and treatment that overlapped with Chris and me planning our wedding. We didn’t know if my dad would survive a year to make it to our first dance on June 2024. We were incredibly lucky — the treatment was a remarkable success, and the doctors have called his recovery “a miracle.” This treatment was only developed a few short years ago, and it’s crazy to think if he had gotten sick any earlier, it may have been a very different story.
To celebrate his 75th birthday 🥳 and nearly 2 years of being cancer free, my dad is participating in a 150 mile bike race over 3 days this fall for Blood Cancer United. He, my sister and I are fundraising to help him reach his goal of $20K by September.
Please join me in our efforts to help fund miracle treatments for this cause that is so important to me and my family.
