Hi, Friends, Family, and Colleagues. It is again that time of the year to tend to an organization that is near and dear to my heart: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. And as part of that effort, I would love it if you could join me in bringing light to the darkness of cancer by donating towards my fundraising efforts in support of LLS.
This is my Velo Palmetto fundraising page. This page is dedicated to raising monies for LLS through a cycling ride that involves my riding (along with 50 others) and completing a three-day ride in the upstate of South Carolina. The ride consists of an initial 70-mile day, a second 60-mile day, and a final 40-mile day that included a sprint up Paris Mountain. I am honoring my father, an over-the-road truck driver whose CB radio handle on the road was "Double Time," because of his ability to (ahem!) deliver loads quickly and safely, even if it did mean occassionally exceeding the speed limit.
Many of you already know the story of my father's battle with leukemia, the life-saving bone-marrow transplant, and the subsequent bout with graft-versus-host disease that eventually took his life. LLS was a font of valuable information and a beacon of hope for my family during that difficult time. THAT is why I will be a supporter of LLS for life. Will you join me?.
Please visit my Web site often and bring friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere I thank you for your support!
