At Blood Cancer United, we recognize that children are different than adults, and their blood cancers need to be treated differently: A one-size treatment doesn’t fit all. That’s why we created the Dare to Dream Project, a transformative initiative that provides 360 degrees of support for pediatric and young adult patients and their families. By investing in non-toxic pediatric research, support programs, and local/federal advocacy, Blood Cancer United is actively creating a reality where more kids are getting better, and fewer are suffering, harsh, chronic side effects in and after remission.
Through the Dare to Dream Project, the Pacific Northwest is doing so much for kids and their families. Look at what we accomplished locally in 2025
- $5,700,000 in pediatric research funding at Seattle Children's and Fred Hutch
- 30 young adult survivors across Washington, Oregon, and Alaska received college tuition awards through the Scholarship for Blood Cancer Survivors Program
- The U.S. House passed the Accelerating Kids’ Access to Care Act to speed access to life-saving care for children. We also led efforts to stop an FDA regulation that would have threatened the discovery of new treatments for kids and young adults with cancer. Thanks to Blood Cancer United advocacy.
