The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients campaign is working with thousands of schools across the country to raise funds for blood cancer research--and we are one of them!

This will be the 13th year that Roswell North Elementary School will be participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients campaign!  Thanks to your continued support, over the past 12 years we have contributed an amazing $130,000!  Yay for Roswell North Elementary Bears!

This year, we will be honoring Lindsey Strickland, Rachel Buckner, Merrill King and Jannon Barker.  Lindsey, daughter of retired RNE para-professional LaTroy Strickland.  Lindsey is currently in remission from Hodgkins Lymphoma.  Rachel Buckner was diagnosed with leukemia when she was in fourth grade at RNE and now attends Roswell High School.  Rachel is also in remission and doing well.  Merrill King was diagnosed with leukemia when she was in fourth grade at RNE and passed away in 2008.  Jannon Barker was a first grade teacher at Summit Hill Elementary who passed away in 2007.  She was the daughter of retired RNE counselor, Gloria Barker Carlisle. 

Our school has teamed up with LLS to create a world without cancer, and YOU can help our Squad make a difference in this journey.

Thanks to schools like US and donors like YOU, there are more children and adults surviving every day.
