About the High Rollers
A band of misfits, The High Rollers have participated in every campaign of The Dude Hates Cancer since it started in 2006, winning the first-ever event at Hi-Spot Lanes in Manayunk. But their story goes back much farther than that. They were raised by wolves in the Canadian tundra of Nova Scotia, where they learned the ultimate lesson: success isn't given, it's EARNED. Armed with an undeniable thirst for accomplishment (and, secondarily, delicious moose), they focused their keen eyes on one goal: the eradication of their enemy: cancer. While they'll always look back fondly on their wolf family, they've now set out on their own to rid the earth of cancer. If on the 23rd of September, you hear a collection of howls coming from a nearby lane at South Bowl, please remain calm. It's just a sign that The High Rollers have struck again, feasting on the decrepit carcass of their mortal enemy.
Why We Roll so High
Cancer sucks. We all know someone who's had it. We all know someone who's died from it. LLS is doing something about it. Many of the most important cancer treatment breakthroughs of this century are a result of LLS-funded research. Modifying a cancer patient's own T-Cells into cancer-killing monsters that eradicate cancer in force? LLS (with money from The Dude Hates Cancer!) funded that research!
So, please join us in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to our fundraising campaign. Thanks to your support, our efforts, will help fund the therapies and treatments and help save lives today.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS research but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
