LET'S KICK CANCER IN THE TEETH WITH AN IRON BOOT!

It's the 12th year of The Dude Hates Cancer in Philly. 12 YEARS! And in that time, we've raised almost 3/4 of a million dollars for cancer research! I'd like to add to that total this year, but I can't do it without your help. Please consider making a donation to my fundraising campaign for this year's event!

I'll be rolling with my friends on The High Rollers (one of the founding teams of TDHC) in this year's event, and as always all money raised is raised in honor of my mom (on the right in the picture above), who we lost to multiple myeloma (a blood cancer) five years ago.

This event has saved lives. In fact, funds raised by The Dude Hates Cancer contributed to LLS helping to fund the groudbreaking treatment featured in this video.

A band of misfits, The High Rollers have participated in every campaign of The Dude Hates Cancer since it started in 2006, winning the first-ever event at Hi-Spot Lanes in Manayunk. But their story goes back much farther than that. They were raised by wolves in the Canadian tundra of Nova Scotia, where they learned the ultimate lesson: success isn't given, it's EARNED. Armed with an undeniable thirst for accomplishment (and, secondarily, delicious moose), they focused their keen eyes on one goal: the eradication of their enemy: cancer. While they'll always look back fondly on their wolf family, they've now set out on their own to rid the earth of cancer. If on the 23rd of September, you hear a collection of howls coming from a nearby lane at South Bowl, please remain calm. It's just a sign that The High Rollers have struck again, feasting on the decrepit carcass of their mortal enemy.
