Hi everyone!

I’m Sienna, and I am a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2023 Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. This campaign is a seven-week leadership development program that runs from January 26th to March 19th to raise money and help support the LLS mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.   

I have created a team of committed friends and family to partner with me on this journey. Together, we have set a fundraising goal of $15,000, and have chosen research as the LLS mission pillar to represent throughout our campaign.  

LLS funds the most promising blood cancer research across the globe and forges collaborations to accelerate new discoveries, treatments, and cures. With a more than 70-year track record, LLS has supported virtually every advancement in blood cancer treatment – including approaches once thought impossible. LLS is striving to raise $175 million to reimagine the standard of care for pediatric blood cancer through the Dare to Dream Project. Our vision is to move toward effective, safe treatments that target cancer precisely without harming the rest of the child’s body.

This mission is very important to me because my mom was once hospitalized for a month due to a stroke. Her recovery was the happiest thing I have ever experienced and I want to bring that kind of relief and joy to everyone who is suffering from a medical condition. My campaign will provide support to the critical work of LLS in hopes that one day no one will have to grow up without the ones they love. With your help, I can reach my goal and make a direct impact in the fight against blood cancers!
