We are very excited to announce that we have been nominated to participate as candidates for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Students of the Year Campaign.  The Students of the Year campaign (SOY) is a fundraising competition to raise money and awareness for LLS. We are writing today to ask for your support of our campaign and LLS’s mission! We have been given an opportunity to help others and we cannot do it without your support.

We both have family connections to blood cancer.  “My little cousin William has been fighting his battle with Leukemia since May of 2021. Since then, my family has stepped up to support him during his difficult time. He has been through many physical and emotional challenges. I am determined to work to help find a cure for him and other children just like him who are FIGHTERS! Join me in helping William and everyone in our community who is fighting blood cancer!”-Kenna

“My great aunt, Patricia, passed after many battles with Lymphoma. She was in remission several times and each time she relapsed fought through all the challenges and changes her body went through. She had many different treatments, and I hope that in the efforts to raise funds, we can develop more effective treatments and research to stop blood cancers.” -Katiera

Our campaign runs from March 2, 2022, to May 13, 2022, and our goal is to raise $50,000 to help eradicate blood cancer.  Yes, you read that correctly, $50,000 in 10 weeks! All proceeds will go directly to support LLS. We have assembled a team of 13 students and family, many of whom have been impacted directly or indirectly by leukemia or other cancers. We want to help in any way we can to make it possible for more people to beat blood cancer. These personal connections give us the motivation to make a difference!  Our campaign provides an opportunity to support the critical work of LLS in fighting blood cancers.
