Welcome to Joseph Hertzberg's Student of the Year Fundraising Page!
I am honored to have been accepted as a candidate in the LLS 2018 Students of the Year program, a seven-week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fundraising competition to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Please donate to my campaign.
I am a sophomore at Foothill High School in the Tustin/Santa Ana area and have compiled a solid team around me called "The Non Squad". Our team is made up of good friends, family, and members of the FHS Mountain Bike Team. In addition, I am grateful to have the support of my High School's administration and staff. I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to FHS's Assistant Principal, Dr.Brett D'Errico, for all his assistance to promote my campaign. It certainly takes a Village!
My inspiration for the name, The Non Squad, and my reason for participating is my grandma, Barbara Hertzberg, (who we lovingly called "Non") unfortunately lost her battle with leukemia in December of 2014. Non was a very important person in my life. She never complained to us about her illness and tried hard to show us she was strong. She was smart, fun, and loving. She was an amazing cook, loved to travel, and spend time with her friends and family. Non spoke of a dream close to her heart that I'm hoping to preserve with my fundraising efforts. Non's dream was for all children to know they are loved, cherished, and valued and have the opportunity to live out a happy, healthy, and long life.

We've set a goal to raise $10,000 with a stretch for $25,000 in support of LLS's mission to end this disease and to improve the lives of patients and their families. I know we can do it with your support!
Any donation would be greatly appreciated, tax deductible, and will make a difference. You can make a credit card donation here, directly on this web site, or, for those who prefer to send a check, please make it payable to: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and mail to:
Attn: Joey Hertzberg for LLS Fundraiser
11122 Hunting Horn Dr, Santa Ana, CA 92705
ALSO, we are in great need of Raffle and Silent Auction donations. If you have something you can donate, please let me know and I am happy to come by to pick it up.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated! Thank You!
