During my freshman year of high school, we had to do a project on a reformation. It asked us what a major problem was in the United States and how could we fix it. I chose healthcare, where from both Youtube videos and the news I've seen American greed manifest in inflating healthcare prices. From this project, I began to truly understand the importance of health equity and its magnitude. Hundreds of thousands of people don't have access to healthcare or life-saving medication, but LLS is helping to change that. This is why, part of, "My Why" in joining LLS is to create equitable and accessible Cancer Care for All! Thank you LLS for all your work and patient outreach.
