Hello everyone, my name is Emma and I am thrilled to be working with LLS to help fund cancer research. Over the summer, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be an intern at the Metropolitan Hospital in East Harlem. The experience brought me into direct contact with patients facing severe illnesses, including various forms of cancer. The suffering and resilience that I witnessed at this public hospital brought home the importance of raising funds to contribute to research, in the hope of making the world cancer free as soon as possible. 

When I first learned about LLS, I knew immediately that this was the perfect opportunity for me to make a difference, and I am delighted that I am able to share this opportunity with my friends who have joined Team EnCUREage the Fight. Now that fundraising has officially begun, I am so excited to see how much of an impact my friends and I can make!
