My sister Isabella, and I are participating in this campaign in honor of one of our closest friends Rocco Pisani. Rocco was diagnosed with Leukemia in May of 2020 at 10 years old. He was diagnosed at the begining of COVID, making his journey even more difficult. He fought Leukemia for 3 1/2 years and inspired so many, inculding us to never give up! I could never imagine, that one of my closest friends could turn such a difficult time into a selfless mission at such a young age. Rocco always had a smile on his face no matter how hard the battle became. His actions motivated me to want to help others overcome their battles, exactly how he did. This past summer, we were fortunate enough to be there as he rang the survivor's bell and won his fight against Leukemia. It was such an unforgettable moment that I will forever be grateful for witnessing. Now, we are joining him in his mission to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign Gala being held on March 15th. We are participating in this fundraisor because we want to help Rocco raise money in a hope to find a cure, and change the lives of others with helping their fight against cancer.
