​​​​​​​​​​​​​As I enter the last semester of my senior year of High School I remain busy with my studies as well as extracurricular activities. With this overflowing schedule, I was advised many times to not add any more activities to my plate, however, when I asked to join The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2023 New York City Student Visionaries of the Year campaign, my heart just couldn’t say no. 

I’m not fundraising for my resume or any awards, instead, for one of my beloved dance teachers, Julia Kane, who continues to be a wonderful mentor, inspiration, and is a survivor of Hodgkin's lymphoma. A world without Julia’s Wednesday night classes is not fathomable. It is my gratitude to Julia that persuaded me to work with LLS this year and devote every free moment I have to help raise money to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients on their pathway to recovery.

​​​​​I am reaching out to ask for your support of my campaign and LLS’s mission. The Student Visionaries of the Year which from January 19th to March 7th  we are raising money to help blood cancer patients not only survive but thrive after treatment. With a dedicated team of committed friends and family, we have set a fundraising goal of $120,000, and WE NEED YOU to help us reach it. Any money we raise helps LLS take immense strides in creating a world without blood cancers, a world we would love and need to see. ​​​​​​​

Our candidate team has centered our campaign around Patient Support as we know cancer touches the lives of too many people, and no one has to face cancer alone. I’m asking for a donation of any size. Any amount is greatly appreciated. A mere $5 can go a long way.
