Ashley's Student Visionaries of the Year New York City Fundraiser

Jan 17, 2023

My name is Ashley Hernandez, and I am a current senior in high school. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is a cause that is dear to my heart and I would greatly appreciate a few moments of your time to learn about my campaign.

I was introduced to LLS by co-candidate, Grace Wang, who is a close friend of mine. I have seen first-hand how Grace was significantly impacted by her dance teacher Julia Kane, a survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Julia ignited a spark in Grace to give back to her community through LLS. As I saw Grace's determination to fundraise for blood cancer, I too was inspired to get involved in the campaign. Though I do not have a personal connection to blood cancer through friends or family, I am inspired by LLS's mission which ensures the furtherment of blood cancer research and works to improve the quality of patients' lives.

I am proud to be a part of LLS's Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign. I will work endlessly to help LLS with its mission of a world without blood cancer and YOU can help too.

I'm reaching out for YOUR help in aiding me to reach my goal of $200 throughout the weeks of January 17th-March 7th. I am reaching out for a donation of any size; a mere $5 can go a long way! All donations are tax-deductible and are greatly appreciated.

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you, and until a cure!
