My name is Sophia Kalimian, and I am in 9th grade at the Hewitt School in New York City. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, all donations are appreciated! This is my first year being a part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society community and I am thrilled to work for such an amazing cause. I was drawn to LLS because a close family member of mine was diagnosed with cancer, and because I aspire to pursue a career in the medical field. I hope that by working with LLS I will begin to learn about medical careers and business which will be very beneficial in the future. I also was intrigued by LLS because one of their main goals is to create more medicines for children with blood cancer, as there are only four at the moment. I hope through LLS I will be able to make a positive impact on the lives of many children and their families all over the world.
