We are Niva Savani and Lilly Bick and we have been nominated as candidates for the 2019 Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Students of the Year campaign. Our goal is to help find a cure for blood cancer. This is a 7-week challenge for the fight against this disease that runs from January 13^th to March 1^st.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society provides education and support to patients and their families. They also spearhead cutting-edge research for new discoveries in this field. In the last decade, over 40% of the cancer treatments and drugs came from LLS funded research, which is not only being used to treat blood cancer patients, but those affected both other cancers and diseases.

Blood Cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths. This is why we are trying to give hope to both children and adults. We want them to know that people are here to support them no matter what – whether they are currently fighting or recently received a diagnosis.

As candidates for the Students of the Year program, our mission is to raise as much money as possible for LLS, giving them the fuel to help find new cures. We would like you to help us achieve our goal of $10,000 to help those in need; it would be greatly appreciated. No matter how big or small your donation may be, we can assure you that it is going directly to LLS. As we said above, your donation will go towards helping find a much-needed cure for the millions of Americans in need.
