Hi, Welcome to my fundraising page!!

My name is Lauren St.Peters, and I am a sophomore at Aledo High School. This year I've been given the opportunity to be a candidate for Students of the Year-Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS).  I've helped to build a team of friends named The Friendly Fighters, who are diligently working together to support our fundraising cause and make a difference in the lives of those living with blood cancers that need our help.  My hope is that my entire team will grow from this leadership experience and the time we spend working towards this vision in the next seven weeks will further strengthen our abilities to campaign for other charities.

Your donation can help support those that are unable to fund their treatments and seek the help they need to continue fighting blood cancers.  Each of us may have a personal connection to someone living with this disease, and I have seen friends at school as well as my own great Aunt Pat endure months and years of treatments that thankfully have resulted in remission with leukemia or lymphoma.  My goal is to ensure others can overcome obstacles and not have to wonder what tomorrow will look like.  

The Friendly Fighters has a goal to raise as much money as possible over the next seven weeks, with every dollar counting as a vote for my personal campaign.  The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year.  I believe each of you knows how passionate I am around competition, and I would love nothing more this year than to earn that title and lead a winning team!

Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
