Dear Readers,

We are honored to be nominated for this year's Student of the Year campaign. For seven week, we have the privilege to compete with other highschool teams to raise the most possible money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Together, we hope to raise $90,000 for blood cancer research, education, and assistance.

Like many people, the two of us have very different yet personal connections to cancer. The lives that have been touched by cancer encourage us to fight. We hope to live in a world without cancer.
