Katie's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Welcome To My Fundraising Page!
This Fall, I signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Thank you for your consideration in helping this amazing cause.
As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, your efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
My Why Statement
One of the main reasons I chose to participate in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Students of the Year campaign, was for my grandpa. A little over a year ago, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. While I know Alzheimer's is not the same thing as cancer, they are both terrible diseases that many people suffer from and many people watch their loved ones suffer from. With Alzheimer's, there are not a lot of known causes or cures. However, thanks to amazing organizations like LLS, improvements to cancer treatments are being made daily. So, when I was given this opportunity with LLS, I knew I wanted to participate to help people not have to feel the same type of pain my family does.
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org

Thank you Katie for participating in this program! George was one of my dad’s best friends and lost his battle with lymphoma 7 months after my dad passed away from cancer. Your efforts will help those of all ages with leukemia and lymphoma fight and beat this cancer!

Go Katie! I wish that more of the donation amount went to the actual cause vs lining the pockets of administrators but that is not your fault! I would have donated more otherwise.
