Greetings Dear Reader,

We are students of the 2020 class at Springtown High School. We want to make a positive impact on the world by doing something greater than ourselves. Life is not always about success, but rather how much impact can be brought upon someone’s life. A little girl in our community is afflicted by leukemia and desperately needs our help.  

We have been nominated to join the “Students of the Year” campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). We are so grateful and excited to have this eye-opening opportunity. We wish to help the girl in our hometown and impact the mission of LLS, which is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. In fact, LLS has invested over $1.2 billion in research and helped 55,000 patients afford their treatments. I am proud to lead my campaign team and work towards our goal to raise $25,000 during the next 7 weeks - from February 15^th – April 5^th. 

Blood cancers are nondiscriminatory; they affect all races, classes, genders, and ages. We only have seven weeks to fundraise beginning February 16^th and ending April 5^th, and we need your help. You can also donate auction items, do a matching gift fundraiser, and/or provide us with your proceeds from a day of business.
