Dear Friends and Family,

Today, 1.2 million Americans are fighting or are in remission from blood cancers and every 3 minutes another person unknowingly joins the fight. We have been given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the battle and help those living with blood cancers. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has nominated us as a candidate in their 3rd annual “Students of the Year” fundraising challenge, and We could not be more excited to make a difference in the lives of patients across the country. I am proud to lead my campaign team and work towards our goal to raise $20,000 during the next 7 weeks - from February 15^th – April 6^th. 

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the largest contributor to blood cancer research in the nation. We are honoring those who have battled blood cancers and raising money that will go directly to LLS in support of its longstanding mission to find a cure and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS has invested over $1 billion in research till date. Along with my team, we will be working to increase awareness about the impact of blood cancers within various communities and the cutting edge treatments that are currently being researched, as well as inspire others to join the fight to find a cure.

Leukemia still causes more deaths than any other cancer among children under the age of 20. Our campaign provides an opportunity to support the critical work of LLS in fighting these diseases. If you would prefer to mail your donation, please use the enclosed pre-addressed envelope.  Please make your check payable to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and print "Fighting for a Cure" in the “Memo” section.  The deadline for receiving contributions is April 3rd.  Please note: Your donations are tax deductible. (You will automatically receive a receipt)
