I am very excited to announce that my team, Dream 4 Delaney, is this year's Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) campaign at Kenston High School! We will raise funds for the “Student of the Year” campaign in a seven-week fundraising competition with other high school students all throughout the nation. We have a chance to raise money in hopes of finding a cure for patients battling blood cancer. The competition starts on January 29, 2022, and will end on March 19, 2022. My team, “Dream 4 Delaney” and I am determined to reach our $50,000 target this year for cancer research!! 

This campaign is very special to me, as our team name is in honor of Delaney Nalepka. Delaney was a 14-year-old girl and also a student at Kenston High School, who passed away in the fall of 2020, from a form of Leukemia. During this campaign, I am holding her and her family very close to my heart, because I know this will make a difference for kids just like Delaney, and you can be a part of it as well!  

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) was founded in 1949 and has been raising money for people with blood cancers for the past 70+ years. Every year, over 900,000 people are diagnosed with a type of blood cancer, but many people are not aware of the seriousness of this incurable disease. LLS has tried to make this process easier in its pursuit to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, myeloma, and improve the lives of cancer patients and their families by investing more than $1 billion dollars towards the research. My team and I are hoping to help with giving a huge amount of donations as well, but we can’t do this alone.

If you wish to donate through the mail please make your check payable to “The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society”. Then, please print our team name, “Dream 4 Delaney,” in the memo section and use the pre-addressed envelope to send through the mail. Your donations are tax-deductible.
